Medical imaging seemed fascinating to me.
I transformed a bidimensional retinal image into a 3D planet and integrated it into a Martian landscape found on the internet, to match the choroidal ruptures “crevases” aspect, as explained by the doctor.
Understanding this eye disease instantly made me think of the antagonism between light and darkness, life and desert, as experienced by the patient.
I like aiming for the best visual impact to sustain the theme.

“Elschnig Pearls, Surgical Solution”, Medical Congress Presentation photos & PC graphics
presented at The National Congress of Ophthalmology, Iasi, Romania, in 2011

Using my own photos, I created a graphic metaphore inspired by the Elschnig Pearls surgery in which the previously implanted IOL is being cleaned.
