Cradle Song, 2003

unconventional materials: fiber glass, painted iron, cables, electric devices, water, candles
detachable in 4 pieces

This was my University Graduation Project and quite a journey… I indulged myself with each of its stages, from the preliminary sketch (scale 1 : 5) to the finalised work of art (450 x 450 x 550 cm). I also enjoyed photographing all work stages in between, therefore here they are:

The “Cradle Song” Sketch, 2003
preliminary to the University Graduation Project, 90 x 90 x 110 cm, Scale 1:5
unconventional materials: fiber glass, painted iron, cables, electric devices, water, candles

A mixture between flying, music and memories, facing the natural elements, the humanity’s need to dream while being protected.

“Cradle Song” – work stages, the 50 kg. wing

Part of the universal elements, playing with and integrating in them…

This was a three-months hard work that highlighted the organic aspect of my organ paraglider shaped wing. This wing above the Cradle is the maternal presence, perceived by the sleeping baby only through the cradle song, for which the wing enbodies a musical instrument that captures the wind…
